Kiki
Kiki arrived as a stray on 16 May 2025. She has recently turned 3 years of age, though looks a lot younger. We have called her Kiki.
She is a traditional proper small female Staffordshire bull terrier, weighing 11.8 kg. She may need to add a very small amount of muscle/fat, to get her to around 12.5-13 kg.
The sort of home for Kiki
-
No dogs or cats in the home
-
Access to her own private and secure garden (not shared or communal)
-
Access to the sofa for cuddles
-
No children under the age of 7 years
Things to consider
-
We do not know if Kiki is house trained, so you may need to train her in this area.
-
We do not know if Kiki is used to being left alone, or what she is like when left alone, so if you intend to leave her regularly you may need to train her to get used to this, up to a maximum of 4 hours. We can say that so far she is a quiet dog in kennels.
Handling
A very happy, friendly little dog. Allowed us to easily fit her with a new collar and size her up for one of our temporary harnesses. A very sweet little staffie girl.
Walking
A very easy dog to walk. No pulling, but some weaving and walks at a nice brisk pace. Does not appear bothered by any traffic. Sees dogs, but ignores them, continuing to walk past without any bad reactions (or interest in them).
Playing
A very playful dog, seems to prefer playing with balls and not currently interested in soft toys. Will retrieve balls and lie down snuggled up to you. For us she has been ok with us holding the ball, and release if it is her mouth.
Health
Appears a health young girl. Had already seen the dog warden vet as there was a concern she might have been injured but this turned out not to be case.
She is microchipped, and has had her 1st restart vaccination and Kennel Cough vaccine after seeing our vet on 16 May 2025. Vet noted ears are red, but not infected. Could be allergies, but to monitor going forward. No meds prescribed. We feed her a grain free diet.
The dog adoption contribution for Kiki is £275.00.
If you adopt a dog from Happy Staffie Rescue you could be entitled to five weeks free pet insurance through Agria (terms and conditions apply).
