Welcome to the Happy Staffie Pounds for Hounds page.

With more and more dogs coming into our care that require veterinary care we are faced with bigger and bigger vets bills.

Within the last two months alone we have faced treatment costs of over £2,000 meaning a huge drain on our reserve funds.

On average each dog arriving into our care will require £207 of basic treatment before they can be rehomed, this includes

  • Health Check

  • Vaccination

  • Microchipping

  • Neutering

  • Various Medication

On top of this individual dogs may also need additional treatment during their stay for illness and this is something that can't be forecast.

When it comes to medical care Happy Staffie Rescue will always commit to providing the care needed and face the cost when they arrive.

As a responsible charity the number of dogs we can afford to care for at any one time is often governed by the vets bill we face from the previous month and the funds we have available.

Below is a list of average (non charity subsidised) prices of basic vet treatment based on a 26kg dog.

  • Health Check £30

  • Castration £162

  • Spay £220

  • Vaccinations £48

  • Booster £30

  • Microchipping £16

Can you help us raise enough funds to cover the cost of the next ten dogs arriving into our care?

Pounds for Hounds is a fundraiser designed to do just that.

By clicking on the "DONATE" button below and donating as much as you can afford you can help us continue to offer the best welfare fore dogs in need.

If just 2% of our Facebook supporters gave a £2 donation that would provide the basic vet care needed for a staggering 16 dogs.
