Things to consider
-
Although she has been clean in her kennel we do not know if she is house trained. Although she has been clean in her kennel during the day.
-
Although she has been quiet, and well behaved in her kennel we do not know if she is used to be left alone in the home.
Handling
Very friendly nature, happy to meet new people with her tiny tail wagging her whole bum with excitement.
We were able to fit her with a new collar, and one of our temporary harnesses within minutes of arriving. No aggression or dominant behaviour shown to any of our people.
Walking
Weaves a lot, not much in the way of pulling. She watches dogs as they pass but no bad reactions so far. Does not appear bothered by traffic unless closer to the road and large vehicles come past. Happy to do her toilet outside on walks.
She seems to enjoy walks and we are currently taking for two 20-25 minute walks day.
Playing
Seems to enjoy with balls, though most are too big for her she still rolls them around. She does not appear to know commands, so this will be something to keep in mind. Loves having cuddles and belly rubs. May need a little step to help up on the sofa.
Dogs and cats
We received information that Dotty lived with another dog but they occasionally had scraps (over food apparently), and this is why she will not be living with another dog, and for the same reason a cat.
Health
Dotty saw our vet on 11 February 2025. She was as good as gold in the vets, and being examined - the vet even said she could go on the "faultless list" as she was so well-behaved. Scars on legs from dog fight are healing, but fur may not grow back. Other than that appears in good health with no concerns from the vet. 1st restart vaccination done.
The adoption contribution is £225.00.
