Benji arrived in our care on 25 September 2020. He is an unneutered 7 year old small staffie male.
Due to high volume of enquiries we are expecting for Benji we will only be replying to enquiries if we are able to arrange a viewing. Enquiries will be looked at on the basis of their suitability, and then in the order they are received. If you do not hear back from us this does not necessarily mean you are unsuitable, just that other suitable potential homes have enquired before you.
Benji is full of beans, and seems very playful and so far very easy to walk. He takes treats nicely, and will sit for these. He’s very typically excitable and active, and loves to play but he can make those familiar growl noises as he’s playing. He does not yet know how to give back, so some training in this area may be required.
We have very limited history on Benjy based on how he came to us so the home we are looking for will be as follows:
No dogs or cats
No children under the age of 13 in the home, or regularly visiting aged under 10.
An experienced dog owner(s)
Benji is microchipped but will need to be neutered and have his 1st vaccinations before leaving our care.
On our first walk with Benji he trotted along at a good pace without pulling, so would suit a brisk walker. On the first walk with one of our volunteer dog walkers the feedback we got was that he walked nicely, not pulling and not bothered by either a harness or muzzle (we muzzle all our dogs on walks). We came across no dogs or cats along the walk so we cannot gauge his reactive, though in the vehicle that transported him to us there was another dog barking loudly and Benji did not appear bothered.
Benji came to us via our local police and therefore the history we have for him is limited. The police have told he is a lovely dog.
