By donating to our BARK Appeal, you are making a donation to a ‘restricted fund’, this means the money you donate can only be used for the purposes set out below – it cannot be used for our current day to day welfare spending. If you wish to make a donation to support our current welfare activities, you will need to visit our main web site.
Your donation to our BARK Appeal will support us:
To acquire, develop, build or in whatever other way is considered appropriate by the trustees of the charity our own rescue centre for the animals that are rescued by the charity in accordance with its Articles and Memorandum of Association.
Certain costs are deducted from the fund, for example third party fees to PayPal and other payment providers, or costs related to fundraising if the entire proceedings of the funds raised at the event are assigned wholly to the restricted fund.
Other costs will be deducted if they are considered directly related to the goal, including any costs associated with achieving our own rescue centre for example planning, legal, surveying, conveyancing, management, accountancy, consultation and any other appropriate costs and expenses directly related to us achieving our goal.
On achieving the goal the assets acquired by the restricted fund shall become part of the general funds of the charity and no longer considered part of the restricted fund.
Any funds remaining after the goal is achieved will be moved into the general funds of the charity to support all of the ongoing day to day operations of the rescue centre and will no longer be a restricted fund.
Should the charity for whatever reason become dissolved the funds raised in the restricted fund will be donated to another dog rescue charity that has a similar goal to acquire its own rescue centre.
By making a donation to the BARK Appeal you agree to the above use of the funds being donated.
